Secret Weapon

Every mom needs a secret weapon. Today I had to use mine. Mito2Max! Can I just say AMAZING!!! I got about 3 hours of interrupted sleep last night and frankly I am not as peppy as I used to be. I have a bedtime. I NEED sleep. When my alarm went off and I had been awake for 3 hours already I knew today I was done for. I threw together breakfast got Owen off to school and crashed again. An hour later I woke up again got another kid up and fed and still felt like I had been run over by a tanker.

There was no time for anymore naps I had to be Alert Momma. I took 2 Mito2Max and played with my youngest, got some laundry done, did some cross stitch, drove the school bus and got home and was ready to go for homework and everything else. I didn't even notice I was up and ready to go until I remember I didn't sleep last night! I love this feeling, I'm not jittery, I didn't have a crash of energy. I've been steadily going all day long instead of curled up on the couch hoping to sneak a nap in between episodes of Dora.

Do you know what has saved me hundreds on Band-aids? 

A .33 cent spray top that fits on one of my old empty oil bottles. If you don't have any empty bottles yet you can get and bottle and a spray top for $4.50.

This website is an oil users best resource for any convince item. But back to the band-aids! My kids are active and fall and scrape and cut themselves open regularly  I've come to accept that but I got to the point where I was buying a box of band-aids a week and it couldn't just be the plain ones it had to be a character. I have 3 kids, 3 characters, at $3 a box is to much. 

My little spray bottle has. . . 

Melaleuca is anti-bacterial so it kills any little bug that just got in there. Lavender soothes and heals. In a spray bottle if it hurts I don't have to touch it we just spray it and leave it.  That's all my kids wanted from the band-aid my attention and love for a second and now I don't have to scrape off band-aid gunk. 

Go pick an oil

My kids are young enough that when they hurt or when something is wrong they don't know the words to tell me what is going on.  What I get from them is whining, snuggles and sleepless nights.  After one such horrid night Taylor my youngest was about to drive me south of insane and I finally told her please pick an oil.  It sounds insane I know but what happened shows you the power in the oils.  She sat there with my box of oils and fiddled with the bottles picked some up and smelled them and finally she handed me a bottle of Melaleuca Oil and said, "Mommy ears."

Melaleuca is antiseptic and is the go to for ear infections.  My night was completely explained to me in 2 words that didn't leave her mouth until she picked up that oil.  Less than 15 minutes after using the oils I find this . . . 

A little miracle after a sleepless night.  Our bodies know what they need.  She can't read, she can barely tell me whats wrong but she knew that oil would help her.  

What's YOUR Why?

Why do you get up in the morning? Why do you exercise? These are questions we all ask ourselves all the time. I'm going to share with you my WHY. Why, I chose doTERRA.  They are 6, 4, and 3 and my everything.  I would jump on top of a pile of construction materials to save them the pain and I put up with horrid pregnancies so they could be a part of my Happily Ever After.

It all started when we were planning a trip to see my family in California. Owen was complaining his throat hurt, this is out of character for him and since we were scheduled to leave in 3 days I figured lets go to the doctor so I know he's fine.  That's when I was told he had Hand, Foot, Mouth, a viral disease that causes blisters to form in the mouth and throat.  You also get a rash on your hands and feet.

Does anyone know what the doctor told me I could do? You guessed it absolutely nothing.  She gave me a syrup that he could swish around his mouth but could not swallow due to the side effects. Also to top it off it may not work or it may numb him to much so that if he ate he could start chewing his tongue and cheeks and not even notice.  When I asked her how long til it was gone, 2 weeks to 3 months.  My baby was going to suffer.  How can we just stand by and let that happen?

I have a dear friend that had introduced me to oils earlier that year and I hadn't done much with them and I figured now was my shot.  I pulled out my Modern Essentials Book or the Oil Bible and looked it up.  I was told to use OnGuard Immunity Blend and Melaleuca Oil.  I got home and that is the first thing I did I rubbed a drop on each of his feet and then went to check my girls.  Lily had the dots on her hands and Taylor had nothing.  Since the oils do no harm I put it on both my girls to protect them from getting it or having it progress.  I repeated that every couple of hours that day.  When we woke up the next morning Owen wanted to eat! I still put the oils on him and I checked Lily's hands and the spots were gone!

Our story has a little plot twist what we didn't know was we had shared this virus with cousins.  When I found out I was horrified.  I immediately got my oils and the syrup that we had been prescribed and never used and went to their home to share.  I felt confident that they would be fine and all would be well.  Life got busy and my kids were fine I didn't check on the cousins to see how they were doing and because of their nightmare they thought we were going through the same thing.  For 3 weeks they suffered.  They were in and out of the ER, their kids weren't eating or sleeping.  When they returned the oils they had not used a drop but the numbing syrup was gone.  To me that is POWERFUL!  We started it we should have gotten the worst of the virus but we only had 1 day of a sore throat.
